Founded with students from both Lyon and Paris campus, ARECE now has its head office at the parisian campus gathering 40 members around events linked with automotive events, IT and embedded electronics.
ARECE is the first french Formula Student team in the autonomous class.
Joining ARECE, means joining passionate student gathered around one common passion, the automobile. To add to the school's teaching fields, ARECE allows its members to discover and to professionalize in the autonomous vehicles field.

ECE or Ecole Centrale d’Electronique for its complete name is a french engineering school based in Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux and more recently Rennes. Training engineers in the field of IT and embedded systems since 1919, the school allows the student to specialize in IoT, cybersecurity, health and autonomous vehicles.
Inside the school are 37 student organizations such as ECE Borg specialized in robotics since 1998, KASAR specialized in AI since 2020 but also iTeam that promotes the use of open-source softwares and network infrastructures since 1995.
During their 4th and 5th year of study at ECE, the student work in teams on a project in order to gather all the necessary tools for innovation and to work on real life cases to anticipate the after-school world. This programm aims to developp operationnal capabilities, to acquire a profesionnal attitude and to create profesionnal network.
The students then become the actors of their formation by adding a valorisation objective to their projects. It can allow then a better integration in the profesionnal world. At the moment, the PPE contains 7 topics of valorisation between wich students must choose one : sponsorship, intellectual property, bio-inspiration, research and innovation, competition, open-innovation, startup. The project and its valorisation are then a real capital gain for the students, a differentiating element during their scolarity that can be a powerfull lever facing the scientific, economic and industrial industries.
ARECE allows throughout the whole year to ECE students, 2 project for the 4th year, and 1 for the 5th year. Framed by experts and mentors, such as Phd. Schneider Maxime and Phd. Derraz Foued, the students are led to work over the hardware, software, and path optimization of the ARECE project.
